How the top pick is chosen
No pay-to-rank and no hidden boosts. The same four signals score every product, and every result lists the reasons behind its place.

- How well the title, brand and specs match every word you typed.
- Quality
- Rating strength, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. Unknown ratings count as neutral, never as good or bad.
- Value
- Price compared with the middle of the results.
- Deals
- Discount from the list price and Prime eligibility.
Badges such as "Best value" are only given to products that really are good value, so an overpriced runner-up never gets one.

Questions people ask first
Do I need Amazon API access?
No. Lite works from a catalog you curate, or from the sample products. Pro can add live data from the Amazon Creators API, which needs Associates credentials of your own.
Does it work with Claude and other AI agents?
Yes. Every site has an MCP server at /wp-json/shoppilot/v1/mcp, plus llms.txt, an OpenAPI file and an MCP server card, so agents can find and use it without extra setup.
Are the prices live?
Only with Pro and the Creators API, and then for at most an hour. Catalog prices are the ones you enter, so ShopPilot always tells buyers to confirm the final price on Amazon.
Where do the ratings come from?
From your catalog entries. The Amazon Creators API does not provide star ratings, so live results are ranked on relevance, price and deals instead, and ShopPilot says so rather than inventing a rating.
Which Amazon stores are supported?
Lite serves one marketplace. Pro supports 22, each with its own Associate tag.
Does it track my visitors?
No. The only thing counted is how many times each product's buy button was clicked, with no personal data.
Can I run it on my computer first?
Yes. The sample products need no API keys, and the download includes a one-command local setup.
